In the spring of 2023\, his letter was\npublished: „As an anarchist\, a revolutionary and a Russia n person… I did it for\nthe sake of justice\, the defense of Ukrainian soc iety and – the liberation of my\ncountry\, Russia\, from oppression. For t he sake of all the people who are\ndeprived of dignity and the opportunity to breathe freely by the vile\ntotalitarian system created in Russia and Belarus.“ In April\, Petrov’s comrades\nand relatives learned that he had gone missing near Bakhmut. One of the participants of the movie – Dmitry Petrov, also known as Ilya Leshy, Dima the Ecologis t, Phil Kuznetsov, Seva and Lev – an anarchist and anti-fascist, environme ntal activist, author and compiler of a number of books and articles, rese archer of the Russian North and Kurdistan.
