Purimšp íl, lidové divadlo židovského svátku Purim, má připomenout persko-židovsko u královnu Ester a jejího strýce Mordechaje, kteří podle biblické knihy Es ter zachránili Židy před genocidními plány vezíra Haman a hloupého krále A chašvéroše. Náš purimšpíl připomíná biblické antihrdiny, revoluční dělníky v perském paláci Tereše a Bigtana, a neposlušnou královnu vypovězenou z p aláce, Vašti. The traditional Purimshpil, folk theater of the Jewish holiday Purim, commemorates the crypto-Jewish queen Esther and her uncle Mordechai, who a ccording to the biblical Book of Esther saved the Jews from the genocidal designs of the vizier Haman and his stupid king Ahasuerus. Our Purimshpil commemorates biblical anti-heroes, the revolutionary workers at the Persia n palace Teresh and Bigthan, and the rebellious queen expelled from the pa lace, Vashti. Přitom se ptáme: co znamenají národ a diaspora v kontextu útla ku či určitého podílu na moci, jak se mohou stejné příběhy jevit odlišně z rozdílné perspektivy jejich postav a zda je poselství svátku partikulární , nebo univerzální.
