Když babičky žalují stát aneb setkání se švýcarskými klimababičkami v ČR

Žalovaly Švýcarsko a vyhrály. Švýcarské KlimaSeniorky přijíždějí do Prahy a Brna.

Iniciativa Klimatická žaloba a spolek Klimababičky vás srdečně zvou na promítání dokumentu Beat the Heat (Trop Chaud), po kterém bude následovat debata s delegací švýcarských KlimaSeniorek.

Film zachycuje zákulisí právní bitvy babiček, které zažalovaly švýcarskou vládu za to, že nedělá dostatečně v oblasti ochrany klimatu a tím vystavuje vlnám veder. V dubnu 2024 jim Evropský soud pro lidská práva dal za pravdu a potvrdil, že ochrana klimatu je lidským právem. Švýcarsko však rozsudek stále odmítá naplnit.

They sued Switzerland and won. The Swiss KlimaSeniorky are coming to Prague and Brno.

The Climate Lawsuit Initiative and the Klimababičky association cordially invite you to a screening of the documentary Beat the Heat (Trop Chaud), followed by a discussion with a delegation from the Swiss KlimaSeniorky.

The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the legal battle waged by grandmothers who sued the Swiss government for failing to do enough to protect the climate, thereby exposing them to heat waves.
In 2024, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in their favor and confirmed that climate protection is a human right. However, Switzerland still refuses to comply with the ruling.
