Těžba a spalování uhlí už definitivně končí, ale stále hrozí, že za sebou uhlobaroni nechají spálenou zem. Debata o spravedlivé transformaci a klimatické spravedlnosti je nutná k překonání strukturálních problémů a k rozkvětu regionů. Dnes, kdy se za zavřenými dveřmi schvalují milionové projekty, které velmi ovlivní podobu regionu, aniž by se na nich mohlx podílet ti, které nejvíce ovlivní. To se musí změnit! Chceme-li o budoucnosti světa bez uhlí společně diskutovat tváří v tvář, musíme se potkat. A region, kterého se konec uhlí týká, je pro to ideální místo.
Podobně jako v letech 2020 a 2021, proto opět sedneme na kola a projedeme se po regionu zasaženém težbou uhlí, tentorkát však navštívíme Ostravsko-Karvinskou uhelnou pánev. Navštívíme různá místa v Moravskoslezkém kraji a budeme se setkávat s místními lidmi, kteří se transformaci kraje věnují a mění ho k lepšímu místu pro život. Cesou budeme zjišťovat jak by měla spravedlivá transformace vypadat, aby sloužila místním a vycházela od nich. Zorientujeme se v současných plánech, politikách, projektech a fondech na obnovu regionů a společně vymyslíme, jak využít příležitostí, které nabízejí. Jedeme se seznámit s udržitelnou, demokratickou a soudržnou budoucností.

Climate bike tour through a justice transformation
Mining and burning coal is definitively coming to an end, but there is still a threat that coal barons will leave behind a scorched earth. A debate on just transition and climate justice is necessary to overcome structural problems and to ensure the flourishing of regions. Today, behind closed doors, million-dollar projects are being approved that will significantly influence the region, without involving those most affected. This must change! If we want to discuss the future of a world without coal face to face, we need to meet. And the region affected by the end of coal is the ideal place for it.
Similar to 2020 and 2021, we will once again hop on our bikes and ride through the region affected by coal mining. This time, we will visit the Moravskoslezký region. We will visit various places and meet local people who are dedicated to transforming the region into a better place to live. Along the way, we will find out what a just transition should look like to serve the locals and be initiated by them. We will get oriented in the current plans, policies, projects, and funds for the regeneration of the regions and together figure out how to take advantage of the opportunities they offer. We are going to get acquainted with a sustainable, democratic, and cohesive future.
