První ze série promítání KINO BUND! Promítací a diskusní cyklus zaměřený na filmy, které reflektují židovské dějiny, kulturu a identitu z perspektiv mimo sionistický narativ. Název čerpá inspiraci z odkazu Bundu – židovského socialistického hnutí, které od konce 19. století prosazuje autonomii, rovnost a diasporickou kulturu, nikoli nacionalistický stát. Chceme filmu ukázat židovskou zkušenost v celé její rozmanitosti, propojit minulost s přítomností a vytvořit prostor pro politické i kulturní sebeurčení.
Dokumentární film The Zionist Story z roku 2009 nabízí osobitý pohled na vznik státu Izrael a politiku sionismu z perspektivy kritické vůči mainstreamovému výkladu izraelské historie. Autor filmu, izraelský historik a bývalý voják Ronen Berelovich, kombinuje archivní záběry, mapy, fotografie a vlastní komentář, aby představil vývoj sionistického hnutí a jeho dopad na palestinské obyvatelstvo. Film sleduje historické události od konce 19. století přes rok 1948 až po současnost a klade si za cíl zpochybnit dominantní narativ o „zemí bez lidu pro lid bez země“. Zaměřuje se na otázky vyvlastnění, uprchlictví, etnického čištění a trvalého konfliktu, přičemž se snaží ukázat, jak realizaci sionismu jako koloniálního projektu.

The name draws inspiration from the legacy of the Bund – the Jewish socialist movement that, since the late 19th century, has advocated for autonomy, equality, and diasporic culture rather than a nationalist state.
Through film, we seek to show the Jewish experience in all its diversity, connect the past with the present, and create space for political and cultural self-determination.
The 2009 documentary The Zionist Story offers a distinct perspective on the creation of the State of Israel and the politics of zionism, critically engaging with the mainstream narrative of Israeli history.The film’s author, Israeli historian and former soldier Ronen Berelovich, weaves together archival footage, maps, photographs, and personal commentary to trace the development of the Zionist movement and its impact on the Palestinian population. The film follows historical events from the late 19th century through 1948 and into the present day, aiming to challenge the dominant narrative of “a land without a people for a people without a land.” It focuses on issues of dispossession, displacement, ethnic cleansing, and ongoing conflict, presenting zionism as a colonial project in both its ideology and implementation.
